A child is safe. A
child is healthy. And, when it comes time to
start school, that
child has the social and emotional tools needed
for a successful start. When we provide for
these outcomes, what better investment can we
make for our communities and for ourselves?
Many programs both private and public exist to
help make sure every child gets
off to a great start. But one initiative, the Copper
Country Great Start Collaborative,
is
working to identify where these programs overlap
and where there are gaps in
providing the community support needed our
children from birth through age five.
We invite you to join us as we identity the gaps
-- and
rally community support needed to fill those holes
--
in a
variety of areas: health needs (physical,
social and emotional), early child
care and education, family and
parenting support, economic
security, and safety.
